Job summary

FedEx is seeking a driver/operator to deliver and pick up packages in the Fort Stockton area. You will ensure courteous, on-time service and handle customer interactions while adhering to safety and company policies.

This role requires high school diploma or GED, 21+ years of age, and a valid license for the vehicle type. Non-DOT, full-time position with equal opportunity employment. E-Verify participation noted.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and move packages using equipment or assistance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages using company vehicles.

• Provide related customer service functions during deliveries.
• Perform duties as assigned beyond standard routes.

Job description

Driver/operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Drives vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
