Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a driver/operator of company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages. You'll check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards and perform related customer service functions.

This part-time role involves about 20 hours per week, requires a High School Diploma or GED, and you must be at least 21 years old with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate the assigned vehicle.

Drives vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
