Job summary

Interpath Laboratory, Inc. seeks a friendly courier to transport medical specimens and supplies. This PRN role covers calls and scheduled time off for routes from 11am to 8:30pm, with no guaranteed hours.

You will maintain vehicle cleanliness, document operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance while providing excellent service to clients and staff. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong preference for candidates with driving/courier experience.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and a clean driving record.

We are looking for a friendly and customer-service-oriented Courier with a clean driving record to enhance our team.

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.66 per hour with rate negotiable based on experience

Schedule

• PRN - As Needed
• Covers call outs and scheduled time off for routes ranging from 11am to 8:30pm
• No guaranteed hours

In This Role, You Will

Education & Certification

Experience

Licensing & Driving Requirements

Skills & Competencies

• Navigation, punctuality, and ability to follow detailed instructions
• Ability to drive in inclement weather

General Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs. Occasional lifting of 30-60 lbs.
• Ability to enter and exit assigned vehicle. Able to sit in vehicle/drive for up to 4 hours nonstop.
• Ability to load & unload assigned vehicle, with frequent bending involved.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment as needed.
• Regularly handle potentially infectious samples.
• Ability to drive assigned vehicle in all types of conditions, including built-up areas, freeway, and rural traffic, hours of darkness, and inclement weather.
• May be exposed to odorous chemicals and specimens.
• Occasional-to-regular kneeling, bending, stooping and twisting to perform vehicle inspections and minor operator maintenance, including changing tires.

OHSA Category:

This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
