Job summary

MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital is seeking a part-time Laboratory Courier responsible for collecting and distributing specimens from patient locations to the laboratory, and coordinating internal/external mail and equipment transport across sites.

The role supports rapid specimen delivery with an on-call/variable schedule; a high school diploma and a valid WA driver license are required, with laboratory experience preferred to ensure safe, timely handling.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent required or preferred.
• Current Washington state driver’s license is required.
• Laboratory experience preferred.
• Proof of a safe driving record (MVR) meeting MultiCare standards.

Responsibilities

• Collect and distribute specimens from patient locations to the laboratory.
• Distribute internal mail and pick up/deliver external mail, supplies, printed materials, and equipment.
• Coordinate transport between patient and laboratory locations on an on-call/variable schedule.

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $21.76 - $33.11 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
