Job summary

Quicksilver Express Courier, Inc. is seeking drivers to perform pickup and delivery from their home base, working in many locations with timely and courteous service.

You will be responsible for safety, equipment checks, and communicating via smartphone app; strong driving record and ability to lift up to 70 lbs required.

This is a W2 position with opportunities to work flexible start times within the Phoenix area.

Qualifications

• Possess and maintain valid driver's license with safe driving record.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs regularly.
• Walk and climb stairs.
• Read addresses efficiently and follow instructions.
• Communicate and complete tasks via a smartphone application.

Job description

Pickup and delivery of packages of various sizes and weights from customers in many different locations, to be completed in a timely and courteous manner.Drivers start and end their workday near their own home base, there is no requirement to report to a central office each day.Ensures all equipment used is in working order and inspected daily. Uses care in moving packages and always works with safety in mind.

This is a W2 position. All drivers are employees of Quicksilver.

Essential Functions:

• Possess and maintain valid driver's license with safe driving record.
• Operate motor vehicle in safe and legal manner.
• Start from your home area
• Be able to quickly locate specific addresses.
• Be able to communicate and complete assigned tasks via a smartphone application (training provided).
• Hand-load/unload material, as required.
• Walk and climb stairs.
• Have the ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. regularly, as required.
• Must have sufficient literacy skills to read addresses and specific instructions efficiently, and complete required paperwork.
• Maintain communication and a cooperative, professional relationship with customers, the general public, and fellow Quicksilver employees.

Accountabilities:

• Deliver packages safely and in a timely manner.
• Know, understand, and follow all company policies.
• Be available to work selectedstart times, clearing any changes with supervisory personnel.
• Uniform shirt, jacket, ID badge, black or navy slacks and approved footwear must be worn at all time while on the job.

Supervision:

• First line supervision is dispatchers/customer service. Additional supervision received from assigned Quicksilver personnel and managers as needed.
