Job summary

Berkshire Health Systems in Massachusetts is seeking a courier/mail handler to support delivery and pickup at designated locations and times.

The role transports items including mail, supplies, pharmaceuticals, laundry, equipment, lab specimens and payroll sheets; requires High School / GED and a valid driver's license, with a minimum three months’ courier experience preferred; full-time schedule, 40 hours, 8:30am–5pm, Monday–Friday.

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION

Delivery and pick-up at all designated locations and times. Items to be transported include, but are not limited to: mail, supplies (medical and non-medical) pharmaceuticals, laundry, equipment, lab specimens, payroll sheets, and other miscellaneous items as assigned or required.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

• A minimum of three months as a courier/mail handler preferred.

Education and Training:

• High School / GED is required.

License, Certification & Registration:

• DRIVER - Driver's License

Other Requirements:

• Ability to communicate courteously and effectively. Ability to use communication devices such as telephones, pagers, etc.
• Ability to work independently, and in a team setting. Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to perform repetitive duties.
• Willingness to complete assignments with a high level of quality, and consideration of patients, staff, and physicians.
• Ability to receive criticism professionally. Willingness to address customer needs.

The minimum and maximum of the hourly pay range for this position is shown above. Actual rates of pay may vary based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience and qualifications.
