Job description

LabCorp is seeking a Courier to join our team in Meridian, MS

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 12:30pm – 9:00pm. May occasionally require running other routes and weekend routes.

Courier will start at the Meridian branch at 12:30 PM, make stops in Eutaw, Demopolis, Linden, Livingston and York, AL, and return around 8:45 PM. Responsibilities include pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies for the daily pickups
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner
• Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift
• Handle all specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
• Utilize a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups
• Work directly with the dispatcher for additional pickups as needed
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• No education or experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• One year or more of driver or courier experience
• One year or more of customer service experience

Additional Job Standards

• Very punctual with strong time‑management skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to problem‑solve customer issues
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Minimum age 21 years

Included with this position is a company vehicle for the route. For only $125 per month you may take the vehicle home for personal use.
