Job Duties

  1. Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages.
  2. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
  3. Provides related customer service functions.
  4. Performs other duties as assigned.

Must have or obtain a Class B license with Hazmat endorsements within the first 60 days of accepting the position.

Work hours are Monday-Friday, 11:00-20:00, but may vary due to operational needs.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.

Minimum Experience

None required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Specific requirements for vehicle operators are detailed in policy 4-48.

This is a FMCSA-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Subject to alcohol and drug testing, including tests for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine, and opioids.

Must work in a constant state of alertness and maintain safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants must be 21 or older, with a valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 3 years without gaps or suspensions. Both the application and driver requirement forms must be completed.

Pay Transparency

This salary range ($23.26-$34.55) is an estimate of the current starting salary across potential locations. Actual pay depends on experience, market conditions, location, and other factors. Additional compensation, benefits, and bonuses may be available.

Full-time schedule: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM. Position requires a Class B license within 60 days of start.
