Job summary

FedEx Group is seeking a part-time driver/operator to courteously and efficiently deliver and pick up packages. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and proper licensing for the vehicle type.

You must be able to lift 50 lbs and handle heavier packages with equipment or assistance, while maintaining neat appearance and strong customer service. FMCSA safety and medical examinations are required, and the position is part-time with a fixed schedule.

Job description

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
