Job summary

FedEx in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a driver/operator responsible for delivering and picking up packages with courteous, efficient service. You will ensure shipments meet FedEx service standards and perform related customer service tasks. Applicants should hold a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21, and have a valid license for the assigned vehicle.

English fluency and FMCSA/FAA medical exams are required. The position includes a Tuesday–Saturday shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance since customer contact is required.
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Medical exam required.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
