Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in the United States is seeking a driver/operator of company vehicles responsible for delivery and pick-up of packages with courtesy and efficiency.

You will check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards, provide customer service, and perform other duties as assigned; schedule is Mon-Fri 9am-5pm; starting pay ranges from $22.11 to $32.83 per hour depending on location and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and handle packages weighing more than 50 lbs with assistance or equipment.
• Must meet FMCSA medical examination requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read and understand English to respond to traffic signs and directions.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

In California, the compensation listed reflects the range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position upon hire. In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.
