Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a Part-Time Driver/Operator to perform delivery and pickup tasks. You will ensure shipments meet FedEx service standards and provide courteous customer service. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and the ability to handle heavier packages with assistance when needed.

Position hours are 15:00–21:00, Monday through Friday. It emphasizes safety compliance, medical exams, and readiness to respond to traffic safety regulations as per FMCSA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages heavier than 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills required.
• Must meet FMCSA qualifications and medical exam requirements as applicable.

Job description

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
