Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a part-time driver to operate company vehicles for delivery and pickup of packages. You will ensure shipments meet service standards and assist customers with related inquiries while maintaining a neat, professional appearance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid vehicle license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and fluency in English. Schedule is Monday–Friday mornings with occasional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and directions.

Responsibilities

• Driver / operator of company vehicles delivering and picking up packages.
• Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service features and provides customer service.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance since customer contact is required.
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Medical exam required.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
