Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in Atlanta is seeking a driver/operator of company vehicles responsible for courteous, efficient delivery and pickup of packages. You will check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards and provide related customer service functions.

This part-time role requires a minimum of 21 years old, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a valid license for the vehicle type. You must read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and directions; FMCSA

Qualifications

• Must pass medical exam per FMCSA/FAA regulations.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position; medical exam required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Job description

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
