Job summary

FedEx is seeking a driver/operator to deliver and pick up packages, ensuring courteous service and compliance with FedEx safety and operations standards. The role requires a valid vehicle license for the assigned type, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and readiness to work from 8am to 3pm, Monday through Friday.

Candidates must meet FMCSA medical exam requirements and have strong communication skills to interact with customers and officials while maintaining safety and efficiency in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed for vehicle type assigned.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with assistance.
• Able to read and respond to traffic signs and FMCSA guidance.
• Must meet FMCSA medical exam requirements and be able to work in a safety-conscious manner.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages using company vehicles.
• Provide courteous customer service and ensure shipments meet FedEx service standards.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am–3pm.

Job description

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
