Job summary

FedEx is seeking a driver/operator of company vehicles responsible for courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages. You will check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards and provide related customer service.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a valid license for the vehicle type assigned. You must be able to lift 50 lbs and work with safety and alertness; 21+; able to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and directions.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must be 2 years old and have a clean driving record

Pay:

$24.21 - $35.96

Additional Details:

Part Time Mon-Sat, 2:30pm-6:30pm. Pay $24.21/hour

In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.
