Job summary

FedEx in New York is seeking a driver/operator of company vehicles for courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages. You will comply with FedEx service standards and support customers during each stop. This role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid license for the vehicle.

Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and speak English well, with a strong focus on safety and reliability. Evening PT shifts available.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand traffic signs and directions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages using company vehicles.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
• Provide related customer service during deliveries.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Pay Transparency:

Pay: $25.42 - $35.96 / hr

Additional Details: PT PM M-Saturday with Friday and Sunday Off 3-9pm
