Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Driver / operator to deliver and pick up packages in the Bellingham area. You will provide courteous service and ensure shipments meet FedEx standards while maintaining safety and compliance. A valid license for the assigned vehicle and a high school diploma or GED are required.

Schedule is part time, Mon-Sat 8am-2pm with starting pay of $22.11 per hour. Candidates must be 21+ and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job description

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Pay Transparency

Pay: $22.11-$32.83 / hour

Schedule: Part Time, Mon-Sat (Day off TBD) 8am-2pm. Starting rate of pay is $22.11 / hour
