Courier and Maintenance Support

Ensure that adequate appropriate inventory of supplies, mail, and interoffice documents are delivered in a timely manner. Perform basic maintenance repairs on facilities, equipment, company vehicles and grounds to ensure appearance and performance of assigned responsibilities are consistent with our member experience and meeting expectations. Proactively maintains each location at a high level to provide a service-focused, socially comfortable destination for our members and staff.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • 50% Delivers interoffice mail in assigned regions and travels consistently as directed. Coordinates pick up of daily work, supplies, furniture, equipment, etc., while operating in a safe, secure, and confidential atmosphere. As needed, purchases supplies in a cost effective and efficient manner.
  • 30% Tracks and performs inspections and maintenance on facilities, fixtures, furniture, grounds and corporate vehicles. Proactively makes repairs or recommends options to management.
  • 10% Assists in planning, scheduling and coordinating unique facility projects.
  • 5% Provides budget and inventory input to management.
  • 5% Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
  • Education A high school education or GED.
  • Interpersonal Skills Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
  • Other Skills Computer skills with Microsoft Office software knowledge; organization/time management skills; eye for detail/quality; basic knowledge of construction, electrical, plumbing, facilities, fixtures, furniture and grounds maintenance. Must have a valid driver's license and insurance. Ability to use common hand tools such as hammers, hoist, saws, drills, wrenches, and other equipment for basic maintenance repairs.
  • Physical Requirements Some lifting required (up to 100 pounds), continuous standing, occasional sitting and frequent walking. This employee must be able to utilize maintenance equipment, access ladders and complete light physical labor. Finger dexterity while using computer. Occasional talking and hearing in person and on the telephone. Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and continuous clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.
  • Work Environment Normal workday with occasional overtime. Exposed to potentially hazardous condition, i.e., robbery. This position is exposed to all weather conditions during the year. Current driver's license is required for travel to all regions and ability to drive company vehicle. May work some varied hours and travel to other regions as directed.
