Job summary

Dominion Management Group Enterprises is seeking a Delivery Driver to efficiently pick up and deliver time-sensitive materials in a timely manner. You will follow standard procedures, operate a van or truck, and communicate with customers and management about deliveries.

This role may be part-time or full-time, onsite, with pay between $15 and $17 per hour. A valid Virginia driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass background and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old (for CDL positions).
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
• 1 year delivery experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Under tight deadlines, performs duties such as sorting, packing, loading, unloading containers.
• Palletizing and separation of freight/documents.
• Ensures all delivery material is prepared for shipment.
• Operates a scanner to record shipping and package information for documents/packages picked up or delivered.
• Drive van or truck to customer locations to deliver packages.
• May assist supervisor in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of other employees.
• Reports any suspected breach of security or unusual happenings to supervisor immediately.

Delivery Driver

Summary

As a Delivery Courier, you would follow standard company procedures and safety requirements to pick up and deliver time sensitive materials in a timely and efficient manner.

The courier will sort packages, then drive a van or truck to customer locations to deliver packages, pick up packages while using a scanner to track packages. The courier will also communicate with customers and management regarding delivery of packages.

Job Duties

• Ensures all delivery material is prepared for shipment
• Operates a scanner to record shipping and package information for documents/packages picked up or delivered
• Drive forklift
• Reports any suspected breach of security or unusual happenings to supervisor immediately
• Maintains good work habits, including reporting to work on time and adhering to standard work, safety procedures and ensuring your vehicle is in tip-top shape
• May assist supervisor in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of other employees

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid/clean driver's license with clean driving record
• Must be at least 21 years old (for CDL positions)

Education

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift forty (40) lbs frequently
• Must be able to lift up to seventy (70) lbs occasionally
• Must be able to walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch repeatedly

Job Type

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
