MaineGuide is seeking a reliable Courier to be the vital link in getting packages to customers safely and on time. You will drive multiple vehicle types, perform basic loading/unloading, and use mobile devices for route confirmation and documentation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely operate different types of vehicles including box trucks, vans, and personal vehicles for delivery routes.
• Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
• Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
• Manage the pickup and delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring accurate documentation and tracking via mobile devices.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including moving inventory and supporting manual handling tasks.
• Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues that arise.

Experience

• Previous delivery driver experience or courier roles demonstrating familiarity with route driving and load management.
• Warehouse experience or knowledge of warehouse operations, including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks.
• Experience with commercial driving, especially operating box trucks or vans with manual transmission.
• Knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and weight handling in the workplace.
• Ability to adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT standards, and safety protocols during all driving activities.
• Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation, delivery confirmation, and communication purposes.
