Job summary

Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a full-time courier/driver for the McAllen, TX area to transport reports, specimens, and supplies between laboratories and healthcare providers, prioritizing accuracy and timely delivery.

The role is 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 1pm–10pm, with comprehensive benefits, competitive pay, and growth opportunities within the organization. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record for past three years.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate vehicle in all weather.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• 2+ years of experience operating vehicles for business is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens between laboratory and healthcare locations.
• Ensure proper specimen handling and safe operation of a vehicle.
• Interact with clients and provide courteous, customer-focused service.

In this role, you will:

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process by making sure that reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens are successfully transported between the laboratory and healthcare provider locations.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, transport, and safe operation of a motor vehicle – rain or shine!
• Interact with a variety of clients and commit to customer-focused service.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.

All you need is:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record for the past three years.
• Confidence operating a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions and navigating routine hazards of the road.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under time constraints, without close supervision.
• Physical capability of light to medium lifting (up to 50lbs).

Bonus points if you’ve got:

• 2+ years of experience operating conventional vehicles for business purposes. This includes cars, trucks, and/or vans.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
