Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8-13 students to foster academic, emotional, and social development.

Initially, nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; later transition to a placed houseparent living with the same students.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year minimum commitment for married couples.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to drive student vans.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to a group of 8–13 students.
• Manage household routines, schedules, and report on household activities.
• Administer medications and oversee student wellness.
• Plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.

Skills
