Job summary

Milton Hershey School is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising 8-13 students and supporting their academic, emotional, and social growth.

The position starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, with a later transition to a placed houseparent role. Benefits include health coverage, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid training, and more.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role; married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid US driver license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and participate in Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
