Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, and supervision for 8-13 students to foster academic, emotional, and social development.

Upon hire, couples follow a nine-on / three-off schedule, with potential transition to a placed houseparent role. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement options, and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational events
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
