Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. They live in on-campus student homes, guiding 8–13 students, with a nine days on / three days off schedule, then transition to a Placed Houseparent with a stable home on campus.

The compensation is $46,917 per person annually, plus comprehensive benefits, relocation and paid training, and meals while on duty, creating a family-like environment for student development.

Qualifications

• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and supervise student wellness.
• Plan activities and lead devotions and Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and reporting for the home.
• Drive students to activities and accompany them in recreation.
• Transition to Placed Houseparent after training and placement.
