Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. They reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision and support for 8–13 students.

The role starts with nine days on, then three off, with a transition to a placed houseparent living arrangement. Responsibilities include supervising students, managing routines, administering medications, driving to activities, leading devotions, and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds only
• Valid U.S. driver\'s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students
• Manage household routines and student schedules
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting
