Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks full-time Flex Houseparents for couples who will reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, mentorship, and supervision for 8–13 students. The role emphasizes a family-like environment to support academic, emotional, and social development.

Initially, couples work nine days on, three off, with eventual placement to a single student home. Requirements include two-year marriage, both spouses aged 27+, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
