Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and guiding a group of 8–13 students, providing care, supervision, and support to foster academic, emotional, and social development.

The role starts with nine days on duty followed by three days off, with potential placement into a fixed student-home role.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be 27 years or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to certify to drive student vans.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning/developing activities with students.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
