A County Social Services Aide 2 assists in providing routine activities such as transportation of clients and families, supervising visitation, and providing supportive casework services to clients. In this important role, you will have the opportunity to assist families in the following areas: parenting, discipline, homemaker skills, budgeting, nutrition, child development, and medication.
Additional duties to include but not limited to:

• Scheduling family visitation for caseworkers
• Assisting caseworkers securing client information
• Performing general office duties such as answering phone, filing and use of office equipment
• Attending staffings, training, and meeting as required

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a County Social Services Aide 1; or
• Graduation from high school, or its equivalency, and two years of experience in public contact work in a human services agency which included one year of experience in interviewing and obtaining information; or
• An associate's degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
