Job summary

The SC Department of Children's Advocacy seeks a County Director to manage a county office, hire and supervise staff, oversee volunteers, and ensure casework aligns with program guidelines and state law.

The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, adherence to HIPAA, and the ability to coordinate trainings and court activities, with occasional travel, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
• Ability to supervise and train staff within state guidelines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with partner agencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the county office and staff.
• Hire, train, and supervise PC I/AH35 staff and volunteers.
• Coordinate training for GAL volunteers (12 hours yearly).
• Ensure case management and documentation meet GAL/DCA standards.
• Perform direct child advocacy as Guardian ad Litem when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
