Qualifikationen

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar.
• Minimum of 5+ years civil, governmental, or public-sector legal experience.
• Minimum of five years presenting cases in court.

Aufgaben

• Counsel County Judge and elected officials on legal matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MOUs, and other legal instruments.
• Provide policy development support and prepare resolutions for Commissioners Court.
• Represent the County in civil matters in state and federal courts; conduct discovery and prepare briefs.
• Interpret laws and provide guidance on Open Records and regulatory compliance.
• Support HR with employment law matters and compliance.
• Identify legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
