The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a County Caseworker 2 with Fulton County Children and Youth to guide families toward safer and healthier futures. You will support decisions that help children stay safe and connected to stable homes.

In this full-time role, you will handle service plans, coordinate placements, and work with community programs to help families meet their needs. A valid PA driver's license and residency in PA may be required.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1 or equivalent.
• Completion of the County Social Casework Intern program or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree with a social welfare major or related social sciences.
• 12 college credits in sociology/social welfare/psychology and one year of related social casework experience.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 credits in related social sciences.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on guiding families as they work to meet the health, safety, and well-being needs of their children.

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full-time employment.
• Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM; Monday - Friday; 30-minute lunch.
• Mandatory on-call rotation.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements

• Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1; or
• Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or
• A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major; or
• A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social service agency; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.

Other Requirements

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title
• This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver’s license which is not under suspension.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements

• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
• Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
