Job Summary

TravelCenters of America offers a convenient, one-stop shopping experience to our customers. Each location has a variety of dining options, providing our guests with the variety they seek. The Cook is a key member of the restaurant team responsible for preparing and presenting quality food to guests, ensuring they leave better than they arrived!

Responsibilities include:

1. Working in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
2. Performing prep cook tasks such as washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
3. Performing grill cook tasks, setting up stations, preparing products to specifications, and following presentation guides.
4. Completing prep, freezer pull, and temperature checklist sheets.
5. Practicing safe food handling, storage, waste control, and following safety guidelines.
6. Maintaining equipment according to standards.
7. Prioritizing work based on restaurant and guest needs.
8. Building strong communication with leaders and co-workers.
9. Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to be part of our team.
• Previous food service experience is a plus.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Additional Information:
