Job summary

Leidos is hiring a Countermeasures Engineer to defend DoD networks through innovative cyber engineering. You will design and deploy countermeasures, develop malware detection capabilities, and apply Detection-as-a-Code principles in a DevSecOps framework.

You will work with advanced threat intelligence, mentor teammates, and collaborate with mission partners to strengthen national defense. A Top-Secret clearance and DoD experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top-Secret Clearance
• 8+ years hands-on cyber engineering experience
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) and CSSP-A within 180 days
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, Java, Ruby, or C++
• Experience developing custom malware detection capabilities

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy countermeasures to neutralize threats on DoD networks
• Develop malware detection capabilities and detection pipelines
• Evaluate countermeasure effectiveness against evolving threats
• Apply Detection-as-a-Code principles for scalable security solutions
• Mentor automation team and drive DevSecOps practices
