Job Summary

The Soil Counter/Sorter handles, counts, sorts, and records incoming soiled textiles, identifies damaged textiles, and prepares textiles for transfer to other departments. Performs additional tasks as needed.

Essential Functions

1. Open bags of soiled textiles, sort by type, size, and color.
2. Count textiles manually or electronically, transfer into sorting systems.
3. Identify damaged textiles and record details.
4. Meet efficiency and safety standards.
5. Follow supervision instructions.

Additional Functions

• Work in other production roles as needed.

Qualifications

• Recognize colors and sizes, count accurately.
• Follow directions and comprehend instructions.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Stand, walk, reach overhead, push, pull, grasp, lift up to 50 lbs., and stoop. Work in production areas with variable temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust.
