Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts in Akron is seeking an Automotive Parts Specialist to help customers with parts and services. You don’t need to tear a motor down, but knowledge of automotive parts is preferred, and you’ll join a team that values growth and teamwork.

This role emphasizes customer service, parts sourcing for fleet customers, and collaboration with technicians and management to ensure accurate parts are researched and sourced. A driver’s license and willingness to learn are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Experience in a parts store or automotive industry or willingness to learn all things auto parts.
• High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade courses or degree encouraged.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong listening and empathy for customers.
• Ability to work in or around an airport environment.

What You’ll Need

• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry or at least a willingness to learn all things auto parts
• High School Diploma or GED. Technical or Trade school courses or degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great listening skills and empathy for customer
• Ability to work on or around an airport environment in a shop environment

And if you have this, even better (not a deal breaker if you don’t)

• Background and/or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership
• Experience in airport ground support equipment
• Knowledge of cataloging, sourcing, AND/OR inventory management systems, a plus
• Entirely customer-centric (external/internal)
• ASE Certifications
