Counter Person: Fishtown & University City Locations

We are looking for people to join our team in two locations, Fishtown, and our new location in West Philly at 37th and Market!

Liberty Kitchen is a deli and market with locations in Fishtown, University City and Chestnut Hill. We are seeking team members to work the Front Counter position in our café/deli locations. This position is perfect for a Front of House Professional/Server/Barista with experience in customer service.

Interested in both full and part time employees. Days and evenings available in University City.

Expediting experience is a big plus!

Experience/Prerequisites:

• Prior experience in a restaurant/food service establishment in the front of house (server, cashier, counter, barista)
• Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly with customers both in person, over the phone and via email.
• Must be a team player and a good communicator.
• Experience with Toast PoS is preferred but not required
• Must have weekend availability

Job Description:

• Ensure customers receive professional service and maintain a positive environment in the dining room.
• Ability to multi-task: monitor email, work the front register, answer phones, and deal directly with customers when serving their food/taking payment/answering questions on the menu.
• Reliable and dependable worker looking to work 4-5 days per week.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining room and outdoor seating on a daily basis.
• Open/close the cash drawer on a daily basis.

Compensation/Hours/Benefits:

This is a full-time or part-time position depending upon the candidate’s schedule. Starting wage is $15 per hour plus tips guaranteed at $20 per hour total. After 6 months of employment, employee is eligible for PTO of 5 days. After 1 year of employment, employee is eligible for 10 days PTO. Health/Dental insurance is available for full-time employees after 6 months of employment. We offer staff meal for every shift. Hours of operation are 10am - 5pm at our Fishtown location Wednesday through Monday (closed Tuesday) and 11am - 8pm Monday through Thursday; 11am - 9pm Friday and Saturday (closed Sunday) at our University City location.
