Job summary

Due Cucina Italiana in Kirkland is seeking a part-time Counter Server to join our energetic front-of-house team at the Totem Lake/Kirkland location. You will greet guests, guide them through the menu, and ensure accurate order fulfillment with delivery partners.

We offer competitive hourly pay ($25.25–$27.25 with tips), full benefits for full-time positions, meals on shift, dining discounts, and opportunities for growth as you develop pasta-making and restaurant-management skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years old; alcohol service required.
• Willing to obtain a Food Handler Card and Alcohol Server Permit.
• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience in customer service in restaurants is appreciated; training provided if needed.
• Spanish language ability is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

In this role the Counter Server/Front of House will:

• Demonstrate and uphold our company core values at all times.

• Familiarize yourself with our menu and guide customers through their Due' experience.
• Communicate effectively with delivery drivers (UberEats, DoorDash, etc) to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Maintain accurate menu inventory across all delivery platforms.
• Ensure compliance with Covid-19 precautionary measures in the dining area.
• Collaborate with BOH team members or managers to address customer concerns or dissatisfaction with any dish.
• Maintain cleanliness in all dining areas and the pasta lab, especially after pasta preparation is completed.
• Greet every customer warmly to ensure they feel welcome.
• Other duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• People who enjoy spending time with customers to educate them about our food.
• High-energy, proactive individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work (and have fun!) in a diverse team.
• Passionate about food.
• Minimum 21 years old (alcohol service required).
• Possesses or willing to obtain a current Food Handler Card and Alcohol Server Permit.
• Ability to stand continuously throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop and move quickly.
• Finger/hand dexterity to operate kitchen machinery, knives, etc..
• Ability to withstand changes in temperature, occasional smoke, steam and heat and work in a confined area.
• Ability to work under stress.
• Scheduling flexibility.
• Ability to speak or understand Spanish a plus (although not required).
• Previous customer service experience in restaurants is highly appreciated, but if you don't have it, no problem! We will train you. :)
