Job summary

World Electric in Florida–Georgia region is hiring a Counter Sales Representative to sell electrical supplies and parts at the counter and assist customers with product selection and orders.

You will process stock movements, handle payments, and help load materials for customers. A professional appearance, strong customer service, and basic forklift Certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service or sales is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and assist customers at the counter.

Responsibilities

• Sell electrical supplies and parts at counter locations.
• Assist customers with product selection and order processing.
• Process stock movements and transfers, and handle payments or credit authorization.
• Greet customers promptly and maintain a clean, professional counter area.
• Help load materials into customers' vehicles and manage phone orders.

WhatYou’llDo

The Counter Sales Representative willbe responsible forselling electrical supplies, various parts, and equipment at specific counter locations. This includesfacilitatingmoving products throughout the warehouse through equipment in areas such as Receiving, Stocking, Shipping, OrderProcessingand Replenishment.

You will:

Determinethe make and type of product needed.

Discussuseand features of various parts.

Research replacement part stock number and price.

Fill customer orders from stock

Place special orders and branch transfers for nonstock orders or backorders.

Receive payment orobtaincredit authorization.

Advise customers on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available.

Receive andfillstelephone orders.

Assistcustomerswithgathering their materialandloading the materialintheir vehicle.

Make proactive telephone calls to potential new customers and existing customers.

Greet customers ina timely, professional, and courteous manner.

Maintain a professional appearance

Maintain a clean work area

Operatecomputersto order,enterand retrieve data.

Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins.

Construct orders based on delivery area preventing stock from being damaged on delivery.

Box up and label material.

Examine returned part todetermineif defective, andexchangespart or refunds money.

Assistin organizing counter Verify correct quantities and items for all sections.

WhatYou’llBring

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

1year or more related customer service-oriented experience

Requirements:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strongmath and readingskills ForkliftCertification preferred

Ability tofrequentlylift, carry, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs.

Frequently requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching with arms, and constant use of hands.

Requires flexibility and mobility in body movements.
