Job summary

Primary Duties

As a Counter Sales Representative, you will assist customers in person and over the phone, entering orders in the system, reviewing and pulling orders, and ensuring customers’ needs are met in a professional and timely fashion.

• Assist and resolve customer requests and/or problems promptly and professionally.
• Sell products and services, offer add‑on and upsell products, and suggest alternative products when a requested product is unavailable.
• Continuously develop knowledge of Crescent product inventory, its location in the facility, and sales techniques.
• Keep up to date on market trends, new products, and the application of those products.
• Back up and support inside sales representatives and warehouse personnel as necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Previous wholesale electrical distribution product knowledge and sales experience preferred.

Physical Demands

• Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and stooping.
• Occasional sitting, talking/hearing; use of hands/fingers needed.
• Lifting and carrying: continuous 1‑20lbs; frequent 21‑50lbs; occasional 51‑100lbs (buddy‑lift or mechanical device advised).
• Vision requirements for driving equipment and company vehicles: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception.

Pay Details

The expected rate of pay for this position is $21.00 – $25.00 hourly.
