Rexel USA in Hilo, HI is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to deliver prompt, courteous service and process orders for customers in the showroom and on the floor.

You will help drive electrical distribution sales, build relationships with customers, and assist with restocking and warehouse duties while staying knowledgeable about products. This role works closely with the branch team to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High School or GED - Required.
• Electrical product knowledge and experience preferred.
• Experience in electrical distribution or similar sales environment preferred.
• Familiarity with automated order entry systems and Windows-based software preferred.
• Strong negotiation, written and verbal communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with purchases and processing orders or returns.
• Assist in driving electrical distribution sales for counter business and develop customer relationships.
• Support daily restocking, showroom maintenance, and keep showroom and counter organized.
• Assist with warehouse functions including receiving, shipping, stocking, and deliveries.
• Stay informed on product knowledge and assist inside sales as needed.
• Inform manager of hazards or issues affecting safety or customer satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a Counter Sales Representative to join our Gexpro team in Hilo, HI!

Summary:
Employee’s level and pay will be dependent on their level of experience, knowledge, and capabilities.The Counter Sales Representative is a resource for immediate service and product knowledge for our customers. Provides excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and efficient processing of their orders. Works closely with the branch team to assist in receiving, shipping, and stocking.
What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and processing of their orders or returns
• Assist in driving electrical distribution sales for our counter business and developing new and existing customer relationships
• Assist with daily restocking, showroom maintenance, and keeping showroom and counter clean and organized
• Assist with warehouse functions as needed, including receiving, shipping, stocking, and deliveries
• Stay informed and educated on product knowledge
• Assist inside sales as needed
• Inform manager of any potentially hazard or elevated situation pertaining to safety or the satisfaction of a customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School or GED - Required
• Electrical product knowledge and experience, including lighting, switchgear, controls, and electrical commodities preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of electrical distribution or other electrical sales environments preferred
• Familiarity with automated order entry systems & PCs running Windows-based software preferred
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate on all levels within internal and external groups
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good team player
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines

For the state of Hawaii only, the pay range is $17.00 to $21.00, depending upon qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Commission/Bonus Plan: Branch Pool Plan
