Capital Electric in Chestertown, MD is seeking a Counter Sales associate to help customers select products, sell items, and build lasting relationships as the Electrical Distributor of Choice.

You will handle calls, greet walk-in customers, assist with orders, and process tickets while promoting promotions and meeting monthly sales goals. Training is provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred; training provided to the right candidate.
• Good and dependable mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Computer literate and MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

Capital Electric, a distributor of electrical construction materials, is currently seeking an individual eager to start a career in the Electrical Distribution Industry at our Chestertown, MD location. A Counter Sales associate for Capital Electric is responsible for selling product to customers, assisting customers with product selection, and developing customer relationships to ensure Capital Electric remains the Electrical Distributor of Choice.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls

• Pick customer order from warehouse and bring to counter
• Prepare customer sales ticket and charge accordingly

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred; training provided to the right candidate
• Good and dependable mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills
• Computer and MS Office literate
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 70 lbs. occasionally
• Reliable, responsible, and a strong work ethic

Salary: $18–$25 per hour with commission potential.
