R10095749 Counter Sales/Backup CDL Driver (Open)
Location: Monroe, NC – Retail shop
Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development: Sell industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment; solicit sales from new and existing customers.
- Customer Support: Assist customers via email, telephone, and walk‑in visits; provide guidance on equipment usage and material requirements.
- Operations & Logistics: Manage the loading and unloading of cylinders, operate forklifts, and serve as a backup driver when necessary.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate hard‑goods and cylinder levels to prevent supply emergencies.
- Administrative & Financial: Manage accounts receivable, discuss past‑due accounts, collect payments, and ensure all paperwork—coding, costing, and pricing—is completed accurately.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Driver’s License.
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Card.
- Hazmat Endorsement or ability to obtain it within 60 days of hire.
- Minimum age 21.
- One year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five years.
- Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
- DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers required.
- Ability to lift or move 25–75 lbs routinely, and occasionally lift 76–>100 lbs.
- Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
- Maintain a drug‑free workplace.
- Adherence to safety regulations and policies.
- Flexible to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift Experience.
- Touch freight delivery experience.
