Job summary

U.S. Electrical Services, Inc. (USESI) seeks a motivated Counter Sales Associate for the Charlottesville, VA location. You will assist customers at the sales counter, by phone, and via email, and help create and manage sales orders, returns (RGAs), and inventory transfers.

This full-time role requires strong communication, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds in warehouse conditions, while keeping counter and warehouse areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior customer service experience is essential.
• Electrical product knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic math skills and comfort using web browsers and data entry tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in warehouse conditions.
• Eagerness to learn and thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the sales counter, by phone, and through email.
• Create and manage sales orders, returns (RGAs), and inventory transfers.
• Provide quotes, place and process orders, and support walk-in customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized counter and warehouse area.
• Support order fulfillment, including stock placement and will call preparation.
• Proactively track and follow up on orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and follow company procedures.
• Expand counter sales and profits by growing the customer base.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
