Job Summary:

The Counter Sales Associate/Back-up CDL Driver will act as a Sales Associate for the retail store by selling products to businesses and industrial customers. The associate will also fill in as a backup driver when needed.

Responsibilities:
  1. Sell industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment to customers.
  2. Stock shelves and assist customers through email, telephone, and walk-ins.
  3. Solicit sales from new and existing customers, manage paperwork for future reference.
  4. Coordinate cylinder and hardgoods deliveries, maintain showroom displays.
  5. Assist customers with loading/unloading cylinders, provide guidance on equipment use and materials.
  6. Foster strong customer relations, address inquiries, and provide cost/ordering/delivery information.
  7. Monitor and maintain proper hardgoods and cylinder levels to minimize emergencies.
  8. Manage accounts receivable, discuss past-due accounts, and collect payments.
  9. Ensure accurate paperwork completion, including coding, costing, and pricing.
  10. Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to safety and administrative procedures.
  11. Deliver products as needed and operate equipment like forklifts.
  12. Support inventory management, housekeeping, displays, and demonstrations.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. At least 21 years old.
  3. 1+ years of customer service or sales experience.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  5. Valid Class A or B CDL license and hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days.
  6. Physical ability to lift 25-75 lbs routinely and over 100 lbs occasionally.
  7. Ability to stand, walk, sit, and interact with customers during deliveries.
  8. Visual and physical capabilities as described in detailed physical requirements.
