Job Summary:
The Counter Sales Associate/Back-up CDL Driver will act as a Sales Associate for the retail store by selling products to businesses and industrial customers. The associate will also fill in as a backup driver when needed.

• Sell industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment to customers.
• Stock shelves and assist customers through email, telephone, and walk-ins.
• Solicit sales from new and existing customers, managing paperwork for future reference.
• Coordinate cylinder and hardgoods deliveries, maintain showroom displays.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading cylinders, provide guidance on equipment use and materials needed.
• Foster strong customer relations, addressing inquiries and providing cost, ordering, and delivery information.
• Monitor and maintain proper hardgoods and cylinder levels to minimize emergencies.
• Manage accounts receivable, discuss past-due accounts, and collect payments.
• Ensure accurate completion of paperwork, including coding, costing, and pricing.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to safety and administrative procedures.
• Periodically deliver products to various business, industrial, and medical gas customers.
• Act as Backup Driver when necessary and operate equipment like forklifts as required.
• Support inventory management, housekeeping, displays, and demonstrations.

Are you a MATCH?

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1+ years of Customer Service or Sales experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Prior knowledge of welding is preferred
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid Class A or B CDL license
• Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days
• Industry experience or related product knowledge preferred
• Basic computer order entry skills

• Capable of lifting 25-75 lbs. routinely and over 100 lbs. occasionally, including pushing and pulling heavy containers.
• While delivering, regularly stand, walk, sit, and handle items, with alertness to gas leaks.
• Engage in bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, and repetitive motions.
• Occasionally climb, balance, kneel, push, pull, and perform fine motor tasks.
• Visual capabilities required include close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
