Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Terre Haute, IN, seeks an in-store sales representative to deliver customer service, assist counter sales, and support the Outside Sales team. You will perform warehouse duties, move cylinders, and help promote gases and related products to customers.

Responsibilities

• Receive and enter telephone orders, answer questions and trace order status or shipments.
• Serve customers through counter sales in the retail store.
• Conduct warehouse duties, including moving cylinders for customers.
• Provide sales support to the Outside Sales team.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate products, equipment, and programs.
• Promote add-on sales of gases and accessories and conduct in-store product demos.
• Maintain customer records and pricing accuracy.
• Perform outbound calls to retail and small customers.
• Sell products at minimum discount to meet target margins and possibly support additional locations.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will perform customer service activities, including receiving and entering telephone orders, answering questions, resolving challenges, and tracing order status or product shipments
• Serve customers through counter sales in the retail store
• Conduct warehouse duties, including moving cylinders for customers
• Provide sales support to the Outside Sales team
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate products, equipment, and programs
• You will promote add-on sales of gases and high-margin hard goods accessories and conduct product demonstrations as an in-store sales representative
• Maintain customer records and files, ensuring accurate account setup and pricing
• Perform outbound calls to retail and small 'B' customers
• You will sell products at minimum discount to achieve target margins and occasionally support additional locations

What makes you great

• You have a high school diploma / GED
• More than one (1) year(s) of customer service, inside sales, or counter sales experience is preferred
• You should have excellent customer service skills to be successful in this role
• Must not have a DUI/DWI or other alcohol-related driving conviction within the last ten (10) years.
