Job summary

White Cap in California is seeking a Counter Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service at the counter and on the phone. You will process orders, provide quotes, and share product knowledge and promotions to help customers select the right materials for construction projects.

Ideal candidates will have experience with sales order software (preferably Oracle), knowledge of construction products, and Spanish language proficiency.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success providing excellent customer service.
• Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
• Spanish language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exceptional customer service to walk‑in, phone, and want‑to‑call customers.
• Process orders, provide quotes and price information, enter orders into the system and provide order information to customers. Pull orders as required.
• Communicate product features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers.
• Demonstrate knowledge of products and their applications, provide technical advice, troubleshoot, and help resolve customers’ problems.
• Upsell by identifying related products, add‑on extensions, and informing customers of product promotions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Payment, Work Type, and Contact

Pay Range $20.00-$26.50 hourly. California law requires the posting of the salary range for advertised jobs. This range is determined based on market data and internal pay practices to establish a minimum and maximum value for a job. Individual base pay is determined based on a variety of elements including experience, skills, internal equity and other factors.
