Job summary

Inline Electric Supply Company in Murfreesboro, TN, is seeking a Counter Sales associate to pull and sell stock materials and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

As an ESOP company, we value teamwork, ownership, and growth. You will greet customers, assist with product recommendations, process orders, and help maintain a clean, safe counter area while meeting sales and service goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to multitask and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a courteous, professional manner.
• Assist walk-in customers with product recommendations and solutions.
• Take customer orders accurately and follow up as needed.
• Pull stock materials for counter orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries regarding orders and products.
• Monitor calling queue and notify customers of order arrivals the day of receipt.
• Process product returns in accordance with Inline Electric Supply procedures.
• Expedite and resolve customer complaints and escalate when needed.
• Perform daily housekeeping to maintain a clean, organized, and safe counter area.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory activities as assigned.
• Work independently and collaboratively with team members to meet customer and operational needs.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

The Counter Sales position is responsible for pulling and selling stock materials to customers. A Counter Sales representative should have excellent customer service skills and must be able to multitask.

Essential Functions:

Greet all customers in a courteous, professional, timely, and helpful manner

Assist walk-in customers with product recommendations and solutions

Take customer orders accurately and follow up as needed

Pull stock materials for customer counter orders in a timely and accurate manner

Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries regarding orders and products

Monitor calling queue and notify customers of order arrivals the day of receipt

Process product returns in accordance with Inline Electric Supply procedures

Expedite and resolve customer complaints and escalated to Counter Sales Manager when needed

Perform daily housekeeping to maintain a clean, organized, and safe counter area

Perform all other duties as assigned by department manager or leadership team

Required Skills:

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver’s license with approved clean driver vehicle report

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time

Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 30 lbs. or more

Ability to climb, crouch, reach, and grasp

Ability to listen and speak clearly and effectively
